"Heartwarmers" is a program sponsored by the local Chapter of the Red Cross to assist families in need during the Holiday period.

Trees with tags bearing childrens names and their needs are placed at local businesses and churches. Members of our community pick up the tags and purchase the items listed.

The items most in need are usually winter clothing, coats, hats, gloves etc but it is not unusual for a toy to slip in with the other items.

The unwrapped gifts are brought into the Chapter office for the Youth Red Cross Group to wrap and get ready for the families to pick up.

For most of these families this is the only time they will get warm things to get them through the winter.

This program is supported totally by contributions from the community either as gifts or monetary donations.
