The Anacortes/San Juan Islands Chapter of the American Red Cross has been chartered since 1918. Currently the Chapter is staffed by a small group of volunteers. There are no paid employees. It is our goal to provide all the usual Red Cross services: Disaster Preparedness, Health and Safety Classes, and Services to the Disadvantaged through some unique local programs.

Disaster services in the San Juan Islands are also being redeveloped with the help of strong leadership on San Juan, Orcas and Lopez Islands.

The Chapter recently acquired a Service Vehicle kindly donated by the Seattle Chapter which will facilitate delivery of emergency and support services on Fidalgo Island.

Since this is currently an all volunteer Chapter members of the community who are willing and able to give some of their personal time to help run the Chapter are highly prized. Please check the "Volunteers" page for available opportunities.
